notes: parents are big. children are small. and that causes a power imbalance. i deeply resonated with the article. we learn to cope with our parents' own coping mechanisms from their childhood. if i were to have a child, i deeply fear they would have to warp themselves to accomadate my own childhood insecurities. this is one reason why i do not want to have children. wooldridge thankfully has some hope for resolving this trauma.
